It is a matter of great pride for me to join the organization of PCDA (WC), which is a very vast command with audit jurisdiction spread over 7 states/UTs. I would take this assignment as a challenge to better the work that has been done by my predecessors and to lead this command on a path towards a better future.
This command has earned a good reputation in the past, due to concerted effort made by my predecessors. However, it is a fact that our department, no matter how old, still requires to evolve to the ever changing environment in order to be relevant and provide better services to its client organizations. We must remember that a bend in road is not the end of the road unless we fail to make a turn. In order to achieve this, optimum use of technology, improvement and simplifications in audit and accounting procedures, increased efficiency in resolution of problems, and most importantly overall change in attitude towards needs of our clients is required. For this our HQrs office has also envisaged a comprehensive vision 2024, highlighting future course of our department.
I would especially like to convey to the new recruits who have joined this department recentlythat this is a very fine organization and they can have good career progression in this department. I would like to stress that we provide a truly comfortable and encouraging environment across all parameters, so that our employees are happily and fruitfully engaged. We invest in growing our organization by mentoring and developing our people first by providing various training and learning opportunities and vastly diverse variety of work experience which lets an individual evolve and learn resulting in overall self-development.I would like to use this occasion to call upon all officers to take a dynamic, goal oriented but holistic approach towards the administration of human resources of this organization so as to provide ample space for creativity and innovation, both for ideas and methodology. This will improve satisfaction and will provide greater impetus for existing staff and also help in attracting and retaining younger talent in this organization.
For staff of this organization, I would like to add that all activities/efforts should be co-ordinated in such a way so as toachieve organizational goals. It is more important to know where you are going than to get there quickly. Never mistake activity for achievement. Activities should be goal oriented.
I thus call upon all the members of PCDA (WC) fraternity to work as a team and let us endeavor to put even more concerted efforts to see our organization achieve greater heights and serve the services in a good and friendly atmosphere.
